Content Creator/ Instructional Designer

Ademola Amida, PhD 

Dr. Ademola Amida

Amida is the content creator for the NIJII project. He holds a Ph.D. in Teaching and Learning with an emphasis on Instructional Design Technology from the University of North Dakota. He worked as an Instructional Designer on the NIEJI project (National Indigenous Elder Justice Initiative). Amida collaborated with indigenous subject matter experts and cultural experts to develop interactive educational modules addressing issues of elder abuse in the Native American community.

Amida was also a member of the team that designed ‘The Native Elder Family Caregiving Modules. The self-paced educational module was designed and developed to assist caregivers who are family members and friends of native elders.

 

He currently works as an instructional designer at the North Dakota State University. He is passionate about analyzing and designing instructions using evidence-based strategies and integrating emerging technologies. Amida’s research interests include online learning, instructional design systems, system modeling, active learning strategies, and problem-based learning.
